Smartphone vs DSLR

I shoot primarily people and portraits (family, friends....etc). My gear is as follows:

  • Canon 70D
  • Canon 135mm F2
  • Sigma 24mm F1.4
  • Canon 10-18mm

I'm finding that unless I want to get a shallow depth of field or super sharp images for large prints that I'm choosing my smartphone more often for group photos and landscapes.  I'm heading to Banff and I'm really thinking of just using my S6 camera as it takes great landscape photos and is super light and convenient.  Am I crazy?  Anyone else find themselves using the newer smartphone cameras more often nowadays?
