First rangefinder, used M8, M9, M240, or M262?

Which would be a good purchase to get some experience in using rangefinders? I'm leaning towards an used M8 or M9 based on the following requirement/desires, but I'm not sure.

Money isn't really an issue, but I'd rather make a good purchase so I don't lose too much if I realize rangefinders aren't my thing. Or if I decide to keep it, it'll keep well. I will most likely pair up this camera(crop or full frame) with the equivalent of a 35mm.

  • don't care about pixels. 10MP is fine
  • don't care about Videos/live view/EVF options.
  • don't care too much about crop/full frame. Only reason I'd want to get a full frame is to keep my lens if I decide to stay with the leica system.
  • low light performance isn't priority. I think most of my photos are during the day. But it'd be nice if it isn't horrible.
  • I'd love to try the M6, but I don't see myself getting into film.
  • Slightly worried about M8's LCD/shutter issue, but I'm not sure how often it occurs.
  • Not a fan of the shutter sounds of M8/M9.

I currently use a fuji xpro1 and xt1. I got the x-pro1 as an attempt to tryout rangefingers, but it's just not the same.

any suggestions?

I'm leaning towards a used M9, but a used M262 isn't that much more expensive.
