IMHO Oly 300/4, 300/2.8, and 150/2.0 focus without focus huntingon E-M1.2, so should be okay for BIF. The 300/2.8 is a bit heavy for me to handhold, but I have done it. Here is an example. So, I prefer the 300/4 and 150/2.0 for handheld shots.

E-M1.2 + 300/2.8 @ f/2.8, ISO 200, 1/6400s.

Level of detail achievable with 300/4 on E-M1.2

Here one can tell whether a crane has its beak open or closed.
