following is the answer for my a question that I got from canon.

Thank you for your request and for contacting Canon.

With reference to your enquiry concerning turning off the screen on your EOS M5, we can provide you with the following information.

The camera’s screen automatically turns off after a period of time and then the camera will then switch off automatically after another period of time. There is no dedicated button for this as it occurs automatically.

By default, the screen will automatically deactivate after about one minute and the camera after another minute. Should you wish, you are able to adjust this setting. The Power Saving option can be found in the 2 tools tab of the menu.

After information on this can be found on page 158 of the user manual, which can be downloaded using the link below, should you require.
