How do you handle the issue with the lack of new Fuji batteries for the S5?

I read one post which claimed that the Nikon D200 grip with Nikon batteries works but other responders disagreed. Others suggested using the AA battery cage in the grip.

What are your recommendations?

Also if you don't mind an AF question. As you are probably aware, front/rear focus errors are the norm with Nikon and Canon DSLRs, it certainly was with my Nikon D200 which is the basis for the S5. Yet the same lenses focused perfectly on my S2/S3 bodies. How about the S5?

Thanks,
Bill

Batteries might be problematic, although you might still be able to get 3rd party batteries. I used my S5 with the battery grip so at least I could fall back on AA cells if I had to. I never tried Nikon batteries, but perhaps D200 batteries in the battery grip might work but I really do't know.

I don't have the S5 anymore but the guy that took it over from me is still merrily using it.

As far as AF is concerned - I never had any issue with back- or front-focus, mine worked just fine. However, the same lenses that I used required some AF tuning on the D700.

B&H sell a Watson replacement battery:

User reports say it works well but haven't tried it myself though.

I've also had no front or back focus issues with any of my D era glass on the S5 Pro.  The only lens that has focus issues on my S5 happens to be my 24F1.4G lens... go figure, newer is worse than older.
