Your 'favourite' FOV

i, as I've heard many say, am not particularly fond of the 50 (ff)  lens and its FOV.  In fact the only prime 50 I own is an old Canon, 55 actually, macro. I've always considered 35 or 28 as my natural way of seeing images.  Fuji, at least in Canada, currently has a loaner, try before you buy, program so I borrowed the 16-55 (24-85) and went walkabout with it over the weekend. Nice lens but that's not the point.  I'm building a prime kit. I analyzed the over 300 shots I took and discovered that I shot about an equal number at 16, 35, and 55 (24, 50 and 85).  About half as many at 24.  Now perhaps that's because I've mostly been shooting with a 100T and before that a 100 over the past few years but now I've convinced myself to pick up a 35 (50) probably the f2.  Just to say I'm surprised how much I 'saw' in that focal length. Perhaps I've had a bias against the 50 since it was the original kit lens of the 70's that we all shunned it for the latest zoom or other exotic.  I'm looking forward to exploring the 50s FOV. Any love out ther for the 'nifty 50'?

PS what's the current convention for discussing focal length in APSC or other non full frame cameras. I always think in FF focal length equivalents.
