Nice.

What was it about the Pentax 50/1.2 you don't like ?

I've been hunting one at a price I can rationalise for a while, and maybe I shouldn't ?

Thanks!

There's very little wrong with the Pentax - in many ways it is a superior lens, particularly in terms of build quality; it's really a physically beautiful thing.

Subjectively speaking, I simply preferred the IQ from the Revuenon - it has a 'wacky' bokeh which makes the Pentax look a bit dull in comparison, although the Pentax is smoother and would most probably be preferred by many for that precise reason

I found the Revuenon easier to use (often snaps into focus at f/1.2 without using magnified view) and it weighs less (the Pentax is heavy!). The Pentax produced nasty colour fringing - not that this is absent from the Revuenon but it's less distinct. The Revuenon also worked better with a Marumi DHG200 achromat which I use quite regularly.
