No, it doesn't because the question doesn't ask for the respondent's experience. It asked only whether Olympus or Panasonic "are" more reliable.

Ironically, given your response to my critique, my suggested alternative questions did ask specifically for people's experience based on what they have/had, so you seem to be vehemently agreeing with me

The only way to *prove* something would be to test all the equipment ever manufactured by both brands, something that it is impossible.

That's not entirely true. One could draw a conclusion from a sample and say how probable it was that it was correct.

Anyway, a 22-2 vote (so far) speaks for itself. And I could not agree more.

SO we can't prove anything, but the answers speak for themselves? OK....
