Re: Wide-angle weather-reistant lenses for Pentax?

Well I own the Sigma 10-20 EX F3.5 and use it quite a lot for landscapes shots and night landscapes / astrophotography, during night shots it gets a bit soaked by the dew but i have never seen an issue (except having to clean the front covering protector that the seller included with it ).

From the reviews and my experience i think the IQ falls on the borders, it depends on you how much this is acceptable. Also in the reviews they say that the Sigma 8-16mm is quite better on that aspect.

I got mine at eBay used in a very nice condition for a decent price, the Sigma 8-16mm that i could find at that time cost almost twice and i didn't know which kind of usage i would do, so i went for the mentioned 10-20.

My Sigma 10-20 Flickr album.

During my last vacations i did make quite use of it, but i still couldn't process the shots.

Now I'm considering getting another wide angle lens, mostly motivated for astrophotography and i'm considering getting a Sigma art f1.8 18-35 or going wide maybe even to an fisheye and then defish it. Some friends of mine has the Sigma art 18-35 on Nikon and it produces beautiful and extremely detailed shots from the very wide f1.8 and is a very versatile lens with that range.
