I have the Fujifim X-T2 for 3 weeks now and I have no time to write reviews anymore. This is the Camera I was waiting for for a long time. It's just great. My expensive Nikon DSLR Full Frame stuff stays at home or gets sold. The image quality and the speed of the X-t2 is out of this world and I would declare the Mirror as death. The EVF of the Fujinshows you exactly what you get. The Film Simulations are amazing. And last but not least Fujinon Lenses are great.
Which modern FX camera are you comparing it to? This past week I shot a D700 - a friend lent me one. I'd never owned a D700, but have hired one on a few occasions when I owned a D300, which had essentially the same AF. In many circumstances the D700 is still faster (and more sure footed) in AF tracking/lock than any of the mirrorless I have tried or own - including my GX8 - and, curiously, what I remember of the D300.
In fairness I have not had the pleasure of shooting a current Fuji X camera, I did sample the original X100 and understand the AF has come a long way since then.
It's great that mirrorless AF has improved nicely, but for fast focus tracking in any lighting condition, high-end DSLRs remain unequaled.
All that said, my current plan may involve selling my GX8 - since I have not really used it much for video or added any lenses for that purpose, and instead getting myself a X100F and the new convertors as an everyday carry - even if it doesn't equal the performance of DSLRs, that's not important. I wouldn't want it for the same sort of shooting, but for the different approach that such a camera enables, chiefly, that It maintains an optical finder, has direct controls, it will fit in a small waist-pack, and has a leaf shutter, but also is a stylish and unobtrusive camera, and has interesting film simulations.
I can't find much good info on what sort of Wifi/NFC camera control capabilities it may have, that would be useful to know
