I know EXACTLY what you mean: I have a very dusty house (dust is statically attracted to electronics, which is probably a major part of my problem) and all my cats are notorious shedders. Like you, I used a chunk of Amethyst for my test photographs and... like you... I didn't think to dust or wash the specimen first. Your pics are still very nice! The details and reflections look great. Good to see your results with the M5 - as I assume the results from the M6 will be identical.

Results from M6 should be identical or even better if Canon will decide to tweak firmware bugs (I hope they will and M5 will get some firmware updates as well).
