This is just a hunch, but my guess is you will see little value in using the TC when looking at the final prints.
I totally agree. But I'm still very surprised on how acceptable is TC image (when needed) compare to my previous experience with Sigma converters 10 years ago. I'm planning to use converter only when more reach is more important than the quality of the image. M5 is working very well with lens or lens+TC, and my 5DMKII is not even focusing with TC.
Also, the price of the combo (converter with lens) was too good to ignore.
