If someone took a good photo with each the T7i and 80D (or virtually any other modern camera), you would not be able to tell which was which. There may be some advantage with the 80D when it comes to dynamic range,

says who?!

but if you get the shot right in the camera, this doesn't come into play. IQ is going to be largely the same.

Weight is so close you wouldn't notice a difference between the two (I hope). We're talking less than half a pound here. My phone weighs more than that.

Micro-adjust is necessary to have when you need it. You may never need it, but if you do you'll wish you had it.

The viewfinding

OVF

on the 80D is remarkably better. This is a big deal.

Weather proofing is also great, even if you don't expect to need it. Last time I took my Rebel to the beach I was overly mindfulof the sand and mist, and that changed the way I used it. I thought the entire time that I wish I'd had the weatherproof camera.

The 80Ds low-light AF is excellent. Not sure how this compares to the new Rebel t7i, but compared to the t6i, its a world of difference. I suspect it's about the same with the t7i.

T7i/T7s have the 80D autofocus

All said, the largest difference between each is the handling. the 80D is noticable better than the Rebel line. It's much faster to control a camera with buttons than it is with touch screen menus and that little screen on the top of the camers makes a huge difference in the field. To me it's a no brainer to get the 80D for the better controls alone.

these controls you mention are now also on the T7s/77D
