Travel zoom - Pentax 18-135 vs Sigma 18-300

I prefer having a single lens for Travel and the Pentax 18-135 works great for me. However for the range upto 300, I was thinking of complementing it with 55-300 Pentax.
But then came across the Sigma 18-300 that will cover the entire range I need outdoors. I might just add some weight to existing 18-135 but then will save on the dual combo.

I used to have 2 lens combo in the past (18-50 + 50-200 Nikon) however that cutoff point of 50 mm was very inconvenient. In a place like a zoo or sightseeing, u sometimes miss a moment while swapping lenses.

Would like to hear from anyone who has used Sigma 18-300, seems it has better IQ than the Sigma 18-200 and Sigma 18-250.

Understood there is tradeoff due to wide zoom range, but wondering how much bad is it.
