by a friend from Korea. I've already got a system of Nikon lenses for which I'd like to try an adapter to see whether I might want to seriously try some Canon cameras.

Does anybody have experience with Nikon to EOS adapters? I've already sent a 3D-print job to the local library, but I'm considering an AF-chipped or standard adapter such as Fotodiox. Will I be messing with the rules of the universe??

PS. Since a couple of days ago, what started off as an inexpensive experiment has already become a contagion -- I found a used 10D (6mp from 2003) with grip in excellent shape for only $85 and couldn't resist. One of the main reasons is because older dSLRS work well for infrared photography with an IR filter. My D800 simply sucks at that!

[awkward grin]

Well, I don't know. I am confident the Canons and the Nikons are good cameras. But I would not spend too much money on a combination of the two (like Nikon lenses on a Canon body).

Depending on goal and budget I'd rather either

* buy some simple lenses for the 10D (that one is acient by now) and this rebel

or

* put your money in a second hand Nikon, perhaps have it adapted for IR photography.

But, then again, I don't think such an adapter will alter gravity or end the solar system during our lifetime.

All in my humble opinion of course!
