Irix 15 mm Blackstone slow framerate above 2.4
OK this is the reaction from IRIX:
We know this problem. It concerns the first delivery of Irix lenses that were sold in July 2016 which were not immute to different mount specification of some Canon DSLR cameras. All of the newer Canon DSLR cameras are fully compatible with Irix lenses and vice versa. Your client probably has the Irix lens from the first delivery and also the Canon camera from the first serie.
Because there is no possible to update firmware of the lens remotely, it must be sent back to our repair service to replace to new one.
Now I don't understand the reaction completely but they are sending a new one that will arrive tomorrow. After testing I will post to let you know if the new one is doing ok.
