SHUTTER ACTUATION LIMIT

Hi guys,

I tried to read about the shutter count limit.

I used the Sony online tool for (based on exiftool), for both my 77 SLTs - both seem to work without any discernible degradation in performance.

The results astounded me -

my ILCA77V supposedly shot ~ 11,146,752 times (referring to the common value of 150K

clicks) with no signs it is going to stop.

my ILCA77m2                  shot ~ 316,343, which again is over twice the supposed limit,

and still "going strong".

So does anyone have a clew on the real ability of these cameras (assuming it is not a miraculous occurrence)   - I concentrate on nature and wildlife photography, so my equipment is used A LOT !!

Any help in understanding the numbers and what (if) they mean, will be welcomed.
