I'm a prime member and recently started using amazon photo for backup. I've got about 100gb of photos, mostly Nikon RAW (NEF) which are recognized as photos and backed up in the unlimited category. It also includes about 10GB of storage for any type of files which I imagine would be more than you'd need for sidecar files. I'm not sure if I've seen any listing of which RAW files are recognized, I just tested it and it worked. I have also used crashplan in the past for general backup (including photos) and have been happy with it. Crashplan (and some others) provides the benefit of encrypting your data, which Amazon does not do, making it more secure.
