Like the original poster on this thread, I had trouble with having the "Internal wireless flash" menu greyed out on an NX30. I puzzled over this for a couple of weeks after buying a Metz 26 af-1.

I thought I'd add to this old thread with what I had to do get remote flash working.

The solution was to switch the drive mode to Single Shot rather than Continuous. After that, the menu item is enabled.

Very simple and fairly obvious in hindsight.

How's your experience with the Metz so far? I bought one recently, but I haven't play at all with it.

My guess is that is very weak for bounce flash photography, but maybe with a big diffuser it could be right fired it straight to the subject..

Is the front camera flash do anything, or is it too harsh anyway?

Of course this small flash has limited power but I am using it in combination with pancakes so faster lens less power required.

The only problems are when we want use camera in strong sunny lighting and shutter limitation is to 1/200s so even with ISO 100 we have to use apertures F8-F16 and then this unit is unefficient.

My compact camera Lumix LX7 synchronise even with 1/1000s and has ND built in filter so it is much easier get good results than.

But fortunately this Metz works with LX-7 too but full power mode only (no ttl) so time of recharging is long.

In poor condition or in the evenig Metz works fin eI have no remarks and very important thing is additional AF ilumination so camera works great even in darkness.
