Image quality is the same on the two cameras. Both have the same much better AF system than the T5i/700D. The top plate is useful, except (of course) you can only see it when you take your eye away from the vf (or rear screen if using live view). I don't think the thumb wheel is as useful as it sounds - it's not as good a thumb wheel as on the 5D/7DII, etc - it's smaller and fiddlier - doesn't stand as proud of the camera back as those others.

Given that IQ is the same, get whichever seems to be the best deal, especIally if you're looking to buy it in kit form. But make sure you understand which lens you're getting - review the range of 18-? lenses, noting all the parameters - and the. Check that you've actually got the right lens!

(I have a T6i as a light travel camera to back up my 6D, and I'm very happy with both of them.)
