Hi,

I would like to buy a new camera but I'm not sure which one I should be getting. I'm a relatively new photographer, but I know all the basics. I've been practicing on a rebel xsi until now but I want to upgrade. I was first thinking about a T6i, but after doing some online research, they all say that the T6s is a much better camera. Besides for the top display, what are the real advantages of the T6s over the T6i? Is the top display itself worth the extra $300?

Thanks

As you get more into photography you ay wish to exercise more control over the camera.

The top display is very helpful in letting you know the current camera settings.  The rear dial is a big help in changing the settings.

Between the two, the T6s is an easier camera to control.  Yes, you can exercise the same control over the T6i, but it take longer (more button presses, etc.).  Speed makes the camera less frustrating to use.
