Any of Canon's M cameras focuses far faster than the Fuji x100 series. The M5 is the fastest of all and is pretty much a DSLR. The M5 with the 22mm is not large at all. I have both the M and M3 and though they aren't DSLR quick they are still faster than the Fuji. I just returned my friend's M5 and it pretty quick.

If you even think in the slightest you may want another lens sometime in the future the M5 is the no brainer.

I was always fascinated that when Canon's original M came out it got panned by the media for being sluggish while the media completely ignored that all the X100s were dog slow. They kept gushing about the X100s "pure photography experience".

I don't care for the whole retro thing that Fuji has going on as I have been using EOS cameras since the 1980s. To me its backwards but some people love it.

There are some deals out there on M's. Just have to do some digging.
