That's more then enough for portraits, probably even to much! If you're willing to pay about 120 bucks, you get 2 lights, stands and small softboxes.

I'll second HeikoK's suggestion.   I use kits from Neewer and LimoStudio that I got on Amazon.  The tripods are rather flimsy, but functional.  After a couple years everything still operates perfectly.  I never thought my large green screen backdrop tripods/support bar set-up would hold up (no pun intended) but it still works fine.

I'm retired and don't have a lot of disposable income so I carefully shop and rely on reviews.
