Thanks for the review, Bjorn. The lens looks interesting.
A couple of quibbles:
1. You say, "like all X-series lenses, Fujifilm always provides a lens hood with the lens." You should have said "most" rather than "all." The XC lenses come with no hood. Neither does the XF 27mm lens. Most of them do though. Correct! I have updated it to being XF- lenses only with the exception of the 27mm
2. You say, "What is often forgotten is that depth of field and compression are however still based on the 50mm optics." I'm not sure what you're intending here, but isn't perspective compression a function of camera-subject distance rather than "50mm optics"? And this being the case, because you'd generally stand farther from the subject with a 50mm lens on a crop-sensor camera than you would with a FF, you'd have greater compression. Isn't that right? If not, enlighten me. You are largely correct... I guess it is a play with words. I will try to update the subject to be a bit clearer.
Two good online references I often send people to are:

Those quibbles aside, it was a nice introduction to this lens.

We're Noct messing around with this review.
Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom impress in a lot of ways, but their noise reduction lags the competition and their lens corrections lack a real-world basis. DxO PureRAW 3 aims to come to their rescue without totally reinventing your workflow!
The Sony ZV-E1 is the company's latest vlogging-focused camera: a full-frame mirrorless camera based the FX3/a7S III sensor, aimed at YouTubers and 'creators' looking to go pro.

Above $2500 cameras tend to become increasingly specialized, making it difficult to select a 'best' option. We case our eye over the options costing more than $2500 but less than $4000, to find the best all-rounder.
