Oh, I lived under the impression that the 0 sec anti shock completely cures the problem, but if it disables sequential shooting that's really a shame! Even more reason to try sell my VF-4 and get E-M10mk2 or GX80. Thanks!

0 sec anti shock does fix shutter shock on the e-p5. It does not disable sequential shooting at all.

Never said that. You have to make a choice. If you want the diamond setting (fix shutter shock), you have to set it to that and it is single shot. If you set it sequential, you don't get the delay for shutter shock relief. Because shutter speeds for me bounce around a lot, I leave it on the diamond setting. I have other cameras which focus far better in action settings or fast moving situations.

You should also note that 0 sec setting only operates 1/320 or less, above that it isnt used or needed.

So you can happily use sequential shooting with a setting of greater than 1/320 and be worry free about any shutter shock. imo if shooting sequential its for action and would use a higher speed than 1/320. so reality is that its not an issue for me atleast.

Also worth noting that theres an additional setting of 1/8 sec in sequential mode if you need it for less than 1/320. its hidden in the menus but to be honest i never used it. just set higher than 1/320 sec shutter.

There are additional settings beyond 1/8 sec, but regardless, it is a flawed camera and as long as you know about it's flaws, and are able to work around them, it is a very good camera. One thing though is that touch screen system and menus are superior on any Panasonic. The super menu is not an equivalent.

Also worth noting that the evf on the gx85 is poor compared to the vf-4. I went to buy the gx85 as an upgrade myself but just didnt like the evf.

If it comes down to image quality all these cameras are all in the same ball park, so unless theres a feature you really need, maybe stick with what you got and save up for the next level up.

Next level up for consideration is pen f/g80/a6300/xt20
