Hi all,

I've been shooting with an NX1000 for a good few years now... in fact probably since they were newly released; there was a 1/3rd rebate if you sent a copy of the receipt off and it came with a free Tab2, which I promptly sold for a third the camera's cost. So it's been pretty flippin' economical!

Great buy!

I've realised that I'm asking way too much of the two kit lenses that I have and I'm going to experiment with some third party primes. Firstly I'm after a nice fast portrait lens and later, something around the 100-150mm effective for some indoor sports shots.

I've been eyeing up either a Nikkor 35 f2.8 or a Nikkor 50 f1.8.

Have you looked into the Samsung NX 45/1.8 ? It has AF, compact, cheap and is very fast! This is the lens that got me hooked on NX system.

Any advice on adaptors and which legacy system to invest in?

AliExpress has some 'dumb' adapters for NX mainly Canon and Nikon.

Most of them say this in the description:

"Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, or any other functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter.

To use manual lenses on Samsu-ng NX camera, please enable "Release without lens" function in camera menu."

Cheers,

OLC
