Here is a link to Fuji's magnification chart. It might help to determine which you need, or both. Fuji recommends not to stack them, but I have read on this forum, that people do without a problem.

Notice the mecx-16 is not compatible with the xf14; even though you don't intend to use it on that lens.

I only have the mech-11 and I really like it. It kind of addicting on the xf35 (1.4). I have tried it briefly on the xf60 but I was too lazy for to breakout my tripod to get the best from it. Seemed quite good, though.

The mcex-11 was underwhelming on the xf55-200. Again, not your intention.

This is the 11 on the xf35 @F10

Thanks for the link. I'm looking to get an XT2 and am just deciding on the lens setup. I like the idea of these macro extension tubes as a cheap/easier way to take close up images without having a dedicated macro lens but noticed on the chart there is grey shaded out sections (shooting inability area) on the 16-55mm (W) but no such issues on the 18-55mm. I have been seriously tempted to spend the extra on the 16-55 and not go for the "stock" add on cheaper option for the 18-55mm but this might change my mind
