Hmmmm - I don't get that comment.  I've used the Panny 2.8's on my EP5 and now on my EM5.2 without any problems.  Perhaps you're thinking of going one-handed to shoot?  I didn't find this to be very good technique even when I had cameras with a pronounced grip - better to steady the lens with your left hand while manipulating the controls with your right.  Or maybe you're thinking about how to carry the camera?  I admit the grip might be natural for some, although I just carry it with my hand around the base of the lens and secured with a wrist strap.

And, as others have noted, you could buy the add-on grip(s) and you would still save many hundreds of dollars vs the EM1.2.

Just my 2 cents.
