Re: Panasonic Lumix G7
  • Select A-mode from the dial.
  • Select the lowest F-number there is (with one of the dials)
  • Select ISO that gives you at least 1/40, preferably 1/100s shutter speed. It is shown at the bottom of the screen, without the "1/". So 1/100s is "100". (to adjust ISO press the up from the keypad, then left/right or use the dials)
  • If 1/100s is not enough, try to shoot with higher ISO. This will increase the shutter speed.

Extra:

  • If you are shooting outdoors in sunshine, put the ISO value to the minimum (the lower the better), and increase the F-number. Track the shutter speed, don't allow it to get too slow. A larger F-number will give you more area in focus, but it makes the shutter speed lower. The shutter speed can be increased by increasing the ISO value, but it decreases the image quality. Many people want ONLY the subject to be in focus, so they deliberately choose the smallest F-value, even if there is plenty of light.
