Really just about how wide you like to shoot. I have the 16, and would kinda like the 23, but I'm thrilled with the 16. It gives unusually little distortion when taking environmental portraits and is crazy sharp with great micro contrast. It's an excellent lens. I didn't care for the lens hood though, so bit the bullet and bought the $70 square hood on B&H. Love that. I don't have to worry about the lens now ever, and don't have to mess around with taking a hood on and off, and it looks much nicer. It's an excellent lens. It'd be nice to have the 23 at some point I guess, but I'm happy getting more in the frame and love how close the 16 focuses.

get the 16mm and then on ps hit spacebar plus and each hit bring the pic

about 100 mm closer .. i do it well with shooting tennis in the nose bleed seats

cant afford loge ..the money i save i save to photo equip... each spacebar plus brings

it in 100mm aprox....g
