If you want weather sealed, but really want to reduce size/weight, why not consider the EM5.2? Yes, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the EM1.2, but it's a lot smaller, lighter and far less expensive. And still big enough to handle the good glass.

good point about the em5.2 I will have a look at it, I am not "money is no object" but I am willing to invest a bit more and keep it for longer as my skills improve, the biggest difference for me is the resolution 16 vs 20 mp

Try both *with* the 12-100 mounted. It balances better on the larger body and I suspect you will feel the need for a grip on the E-M5ii which negates the lighter weight advantage.

+1 on that. 12-100 is a pretty big lens. I tried it out on E-M5 Mark II and while usable, i would not want to use it for prolonged periods of time. Not without a grip.

And on the topics of grips, the advantage of E-M5 II is that it has this two parts accessory grip you can attach to it. One part is just the grip, which gives you better hold of the camera without increasing the bulk too much. The other part is a battery grip with controls for portrait mode. I like this touch of modularity it offers. So unlike E-M1, you can slim down that E-M5 when not using big lenses.

Of course, E-M1 II is the best of the best. You need to ask yourself a question if it's worth that much more money. I'm sure some of the goodies will show up in E-M5 Mark III, but I expect some things to remain exclusive to E-M1 (fast, action oriented PDAF focusing system).
