Fujifilm X100S question

Late last year I purchased a second hand X100S, which despite its quirks I'm really rather happy with.

I've had it set to auto ISO 6400, with a min shutter speed of 1/30, and playing today I noticed something a bit weird.

It was bright sunlight, so 200 ISO should have been the default, camera in "P" mode.

The "correct" exposure was 1/210 @ f5.6 @ 200iso, but while in auto ISO mode it insisted on using 800iso with a shutter speed of 1/750.

Okay it's not a huge problem as the camera is still pretty good at 800iso, but surely it should be trying to use the lowest ISO possible, increasing it only when the shutter speed drops to under 1/30?

Help....
