I always preferred the rendering of the 60mm vs 56mm (cold colors and sometimes busy bokeh), in online samples at least and I think the superthin DoF make all portraits look the same... I hope the new 50mm is in the 60mm side rather than the 56mm.I am!
I have the 60mm macro, but I think I will sell it and buy the 50/2 instead. The 60mm is optically a great lens, if not one of Fujis best lenses. But the AF is increadible slow, so I only can use it for portraits and stills - not interested in the mcaro function at all.
So I think the 50/2 will be a good replacement, perfect for portraits (where f1.2 is a too thin DOF for my taste) AND for moving people or other moving things.
Rico Pfirstinger (aka flysurfer) has some fist impression pictures of the 50/2 on his flickr account. Including a bokeh comparison to the 56/1.2 - and the results look really pleasing.
He also commented in another Forum, where he stated that he really likes the 50/2. It is fast, has a similar bokeh like the 56/1.2 (at same aperture values), and is sharp wide open, even at minimal focus distance.
