Scratching my sensor

So I found that I had a little gunk on my sensor and decided to clean the sensor with a razor blade as I have used blades in the past to clean gunk off of glass  and felt this was a good idea

All kidding aside I wanted to know what it would take to scratch the  filter on a K7 sensor. I first tried to scratch the filter with the blade. After looking over the filter I could not find where I had ran over it with the blade. So I then placed some black marker over it and scratch off the maker and had a closer look at the filter.

here you can see where I ran the blade across the filter

having a close look

I don’t see any scratches, makes me feel better when I comes time to do a wet wipe of the sensor if you make sure and blow out the dust other than getting in there with file or sandpaper you have nothing much to worry about

Just some random shots of the K7 sensor without the filter

The Camera is only a tool, photography is deciding how to use it.
The hardest part about capturing wildlife is not the photographing portion; it’s getting them to sign a model release
