I have a Canon 60D with a 50mm 1.4 lens.

I want to use it for taking overhead photos of food in my kitchen but I can’t get the camera far enough away without hitting our low ceiling.

Can anyone recommend a cheap wide lens that will help me fit everything in?

I’ve been looking at the: Canon EF-S 24mm f2.8.

Does anyone know if this lens would be wide enough? I’m hoping to take shoots about 2 feet above the food.

According to Canon Japan website here: the EF-s 24mm STM covers 50°35’ horizontal and 34°55’ vertical.

With some math, at 2 feet directly above your food, the 24mm lens can cover 1.88 x 1.25 feet.
