Appreciating WR in Southern California

When I bought into the Pentax system, WR was not a feature I was especially interested in, considering my Southern California location.

I go to local parks every day to photograph wild parrots, shorebirds, various geese etc. I generally take my K70 w/18-300 mounted. Lately, though, we've had light rain every day and, though I don't like to get soaked, I do spend some time in the drizzle and, once in awhile, get caught in a real rain. My K50 with it's 55-300WR came to the rescue. I love that combo and, for my purposes, find the lens to be almost as versatile as the 18-300mm.

To the point, I now place real value on the WR of Pentax cameras and lenses. I'm a believer.

I'm guessing others have found the value of WR in even more challenging conditions.
