Some good suggestions from everyone, thanks. I tried with the smallest focus box, I believe it is too broad to pinpoint as a DSLR does, with my SL1 and 5D3 I can pick an exact spot to focus on and it will do it, the M5 seems to be looking for everything surrounding the point I wanted in focus. Maybe a bad copy, I dunno, I'll try another down the road after they fix the bad low light 3 second delay and other foibles.

Maybe it doesn't bother anyone else and I realize no camera is perfect, but as long as they keep making cameras that aren't close to perfect and people keep buying them, they'll never fix them, they'll just keep making the same old stuff. I would gladly pay more for a great camera.   I am glad you enjoy yours but this one just wasn't it for me right now, thanks.
