Another interesting fact is the size/weight of the new GH5.
GH5 138.5 x 98.1 x 87.4 mm and 725gr.
NX1 is 138.5x102.3x65.8 mm (or 14.0 x 10.2 x 6.6 cm in other measurements) and 550grs.
And for comparison, Nikon D750 140.5x113x78 mm, 840grams.
I understand that it is a semi pro (or pro) video orientated camera, but the increase in size and weight is substantial; main reason should be IBIS and special cooling system for the in-camera processing and recording, still, m4/3 is reaching dSLR territory.
No it is not. It does not let quality suffer under size like Sony seems to do. There was a clear wish among videographers to have a cam like the GH5. Fine. You want a cam that warms your hands in winter and cook eggs in summer? Make it in a small package. But Panasonic is about quality and durability. Try to find one GH4 on the mFT that broke down. It might be there, I do not read all threads but these are very few and far between. Overheating has never been recorded (in 4K hehe).
If you want a similar setup with an APS-c sensor let alone FF...we all know what would happen. I would be enormous. IBIS heats things up and 400 Mbps in 4K...well...
We can see m43s is not approaching some certain size by simply looking at GX80, GF9, EPL8 and especially GM5 (where is GM6 though). Especially the latter of course is of a size no DSLR APS-c can even come remotely close to.
But this is your typical cherrypicking: we pick one model., we mention size and weight and...done. Too funny.
I do not understand your comment at all.
Maybe you do not comprehend the English language well enough to have a constructive conversation.
FInd someone who does speak English well enough, he could tell you
FF with IBIS is 126.9 x 95.7 x 59.7 mm and 556gr, it is called A7ii, you do not have to imagine things that do exist. Another one: 116.8 x 68.6 x 38.1 mm and 627grs with battery and memory card, that is called A7sII.
1) If you have found someone capable to explain English to you and tell you what context means he told you that I was pointing to a camera, with 4K, IBIS and 400 mbps that does not overheat.
So...A7ii,,,has no 4K let alone 400 Mbps......
So...A7sii...HAS 4K and IBIS....but not a 400 Mbps bit 100 or 60 Mbps and yes...it overheats as Max Yuryev can show you.
Which is why I remarked that if you want it reliable you need a much larger body. And it explains the size of GH5 and also why GX85 also has 4K video but is so much lighter and smaller. Not that much data to churn on.
NX1 is MY main camera, D750 is the...etc...

You do understand m43s is a system that consists of more than just the GH5, do you?
Was I offending in anyway to m4/3???
You are nuts..
Whatever I am, not so relevant when GH5 (like you clearly say) is the subject.
man, read the WORDS, we do not actually disagree, I do not understand the negativity on a non aggressive comment about actual facts (size and weight, which is not a subjective measurement!), especially when I am a fun of Panasonic cameras,
seriously, just try to read with a more positive attitude. Of couse I know the m4/3 system, the only thing I said, with facts and numbers, is that GH5 is reaching Full Frame territory in size and weight, which is true. I didn't say that it was bad, or good, it is just a fact, the only reason I can see getting you jump your seat, is that contradicts the "small sensor, small size" mantra of m4/3, which is your issue, not mine.
The only way of having this misunderstanding is language barrier or something, we are just spamming the thread, and I am not going to go on.
Just for the record.
NX1 is 138.5x102.3x65.8 mm and 550grs.
A7ii 126.9 x 95.7 x 59.7 mm and 556gr
A7sii 116.8 x 68.6 x 38.1 mm and 627gr
6D 144.5 mm × 110.5 mm × 71.2 mm and 680gr
GH5 138.5 x 98.1 x 87.4 mm and 725gr.
Nikon D750 140.5x113x78 mm and 840grams.
