If the A6500 had a a Samsung NX 500 kind of LCD screen (wich tilts 180º), shoot 4K at 60p, and had the same price (1400€),
I'm very sad this didn't happen in a6500. It is already released with a 1995 technology touchscreen But no problem Sony will listen to customers and bring all features in A6800 probable in a months time.
I seriously don't understand why Sony didn't put same touchscreen they had in their phones in the camera. Samsung managed to do it a very long time ago. Maybe Sony doesn't have lots of genius staff. Or they withholding nice touchscreen for their next A6800 coming in February 2017.
I would buy it... well I'm assuming it doesn't overheats like the A6300... right?
It still overheats but it is not a problem if you wear gloves. Gloves are cheap right and fashionable. They said nothing has changed in a6500 to fix the heating issue. Maybe it is by design.
To be honest I think it is a feature by Sony for cold climate countries. A6500 can be the first camera with built in heater function to heat up the room in winter.
I also Love my Nx500. but I'm really mad with Samsung.... Guys, it is one year, and they didn' give us any kind of explanation... you just don't do this to your consumers... namely the ones like Kisaha and Tecnoworld... they worship you
I hate my samsung cameras and I realllly hate my S7 Edge.
But I love Sony. Even though they discontinued the Vaio line without much warning but that is okay I still love Sony. Sony makes beautiful phones and beautiful laptop. They came up with heater function in their Vaio Fit laptop few years ago but Sony is the first in camera business with built in heater function so I think DPR should give a6500 at least 95% for innovation.
Ok, so what is your alternative? Now that Samsung is dead, or isn't it?
Well, I tell you:
GH5 or the A6500... those are your best alternatives... a great camera but more expensive and with a smaller sensor against a cheap camera with a larger sensor, but that overheats...
Max Yuryev use to shoot with Samsung NX1, and now he uses the Sony A6300. Was he great when used the NX1, and now stupid, because he uses the A6300? I really don't understand you people
Another one from another site
"When the Panasonic GH4 was released, this was the first to give us truly affordable 4K on an interchangeable lens camera without scrimping on image quality or features. Only the release of the Sony A7S II and Samsung NX1 have offered better alternatives."
You have to buy something, because you do not have NX1, and you are getting hysterical as the proper troll you are because you can not buy any of the good ones. Neither X-T2, or a GH5, or any of the top spec-ed ones. We have the NX1, whoever doesn't need the 10 bit video files (I doubt that you even know what this is) do not have to pay top money to change a whole system.
Honestly though, you will be fine with a a6300 and the 18-105, the prices are near the money you mentioned, you are not a professional, and I seriously doubt that you are using you equipment more than once per week (if you have any), the camera will be great for you needs, and go troll the Sony forum, that won't even answer to you.
