Utilising build-in flash
6

I don't think anyone likes build-in flash cameras have. But my SD1 has one. So I decided to make use of it. I've 3D printed a diffuser/reflector for rare occasions build-in flash may actually help. Here is my first test. Will appreciate suggestions.

Diffuser/reflector is attached to a hot shoe

It is tilted 45°, so a beam is reflected straight up

Black adapter goes into hot shoe, and it can stay there. Diffuser is attached to the adapter after flash is opened. Foil is attached to it (not shown) to make a reflector.

Shot with reflector. Flash is +3. Shadows are soft.

Same settings. Shot with diffuser. Shadows are stronger.

Shot without diffuser/reflector. Flash is @0. Shadows are too strong.

Shot without flash.
