Thanks....I think! Reads almost like a Nikon advertisement - LOL. You are obviously more computer/software oriented, literate, and conversant than I am. But as I said above, I am more concerned about Nikon View NX-i since there are numerous RAW converters and I can always use Adobe ACR for NEF conversion. My question still remains if View NX-i is a decent browser program. I believe it automatically removes View NX2 from your computer as it is downloaded (although I agree - why have two Views? Maybe so you don't have to redownload NX2 if you don't like NX-i and want to keep looking for another browser while still able to use your D300 as you work on the D500?)

This is a bit old - but here is what Thom Hogan had to say about View NX-i when Nikon released it. Has it gotten that much better since his panning of it???  What browsers are others using to initially transfer their D500 images to in order to review and cull them before doing post processing to any of them?
