Fuji XT-2 is an excellent camera but with lenses is also bulky as a DSLR.

Which ones? Compare it to the D750:

To me, it's just the right amount smaller.

In this case you have to compare it with a new generation DSLR. Some DSLRs have very good battery life, buffer speed and aotofocus capabilities.

I think battery life is the weak point with MILC, no question. But buffer speed is right up there as is autofocus. And remember, DSLR's autofocus is still tied to TTL focusing which has to be calibrated and usually more than once. And even when you do, it's never dead on at every distance.

The reason to use mirrorless cameras is for their small and lightweight bodies.

Not the only reason - that's really difficult to achieve all the time. What sets them apart truly is the in-camera exposure verification, manual focus aids, no need for autofocus fine tune among other things.

Which camera you can get in your pocket or in your bag.

But hard to get one that is APS-C sized that will fit in the pocket.

Most Sony APS-C cameras are smaller, lighter and easier to handle.
