Hi,

I need help on product photography for one of my first customer. I have Canon 600d + Canon 18–135mm kit lens. Please suggest what mode and settings, like shutter speed, exposure, ISO should be used to shoot products, like purses and ladies bags etc. Do I need any additional accessories? These pics needs to be published on eCommerce websites, like Amazon, eBay, Flipkart and Jabong etc.

I have a small box studio right now as per link below available in India.

You are on the right track, as lighting is the real key to shooting products!  Get yourself some big sheets of white foamcore too.  Bounce lights off of them for some really soft light.  Keep your color temperature consistent though (I like 5000K bulbs).

You'll need as much depth of field as possible.  I'd use small apertures (f/16 or even smaller).  Close ups like these will take very kindly to sharpening, so don't be afraid of diffraction here.

If your software has a focus stacking feature (Photoshop does OK), then try it if (when) needed.  Otherwise both Zerene Stacker and Helicon Focus are great.

As Digi' suggests, shoot in Manual (with manual white balance).  Set your ISO to 100 for best IQ and Dynamic Range (use a tripod).  Bracket your shots (exposure).  Turn image stabilization Off when on a tripod.

And experiment a lot.

Happy shooting!
