Yes indeed it is a shame they are so hard to find. Some South Korean seller in Ebay sells them for 1699 USD.... + p&p and customs which is nuts.

Let me know guys if you manage to get them anywhere for a reasonable price. I'm also desperate to get it as I own the 16-50mm which is already "waouw".

What do you think my NX1 and its 16-50mm prime lens could sell for? it's in mint condition with its original packagings?

I bought mine new, a year ago, and the S lens recently for new, and I paid 1500euros more or less, so I wouldn't expect to pay more for a used system right now (I have already a year of use, and the system is a year older right now with no future really).

The performance is still great (best camera+lens combo right now for the price), but I wouldn't invest more than 1500euros for used, right now, when GX/G-85/80 are so cheap right now, and the GH5 will be relatively cheap in a couple of years (we have to wait to see for that) and a a7000 is imminent (ofcourse you never know with Sony)

a lot of people have complained about the fast A6500 release, but it actually came as scheduled in a Sony 2 year cycle. It was the A6300 that was delayed, and this gave the impression of two quick releases.

Due to the sense of panic and with stores dumping inventory a year ago during the slow string of Samsung announcements, and the lack of supply now, I don't feel like prices have moved much since the big drop last year. If you know where to find the buyers, you can still get a decent price. I was pretty amazed at how fast my Samsung gear sold, it has taken me longer to sell gear from other manufacturers.

It helps that Olympus released a camera with a hefty price tag, a Sony version of the S lenses costs a pretty penny, and Canon mirrorless still only does 1080.

My opinion about the a6xxx situation is that most of the people got the a6300 after a long long wait of rumors and speculation, as they were expecting it to be THE Sony APS-C for the next couple of years, and suddenly, 7 months later, there is a better version.

I know people that bought the a6300 weeks before the a6500 announcement, and for a whooping 1500euros (body only). One friend gave his 6D+24-105mm+money for his a6300+18-135. a6300 was unnecessary.

There aren't any "Sony version of the S lenses".
