Henrys M5 deal

I just ordered M5 from Henrys yesterday night. Besides free adapter, they adding CANON CONNECT STATION CS100 (1TB) for the order. Promotion ends on December 31.

I'm not sure if I need it, but it's very nice, especially when you travel. Or I can always try to sell it and it, to make overall price of the body lower.

If anyone is interested in the new 70-300mm USM IS II, that is also cheaper from Henry's. It comes out to about $480 with the exchange rate.

Tripod Mount NOT included

Is this a Canon-brand adapter (not saying that it is important, but just wanted to be sure), or something else?

I got a M3 with free Canon EF-M Adapter (Canon) sans the tripod mount. It is original just without the tripod mount which you can order from Canon service center separately. European version M5 comes with same adapter free included in a kit without the tripod mount. You can search for the topic in this forum.

Well I pulled the trigger on the m5 + 18-150mm combo. I actually had pre-ordered through CPW for $1299 but decided that was still a little too much for me but since I think I can net this kit for $1100 after selling the adapter and CS100, I think that is about as good as it gets until next winter.

Just checked their prices and the exchange rate makes this a very good deal.

Body only = $927 US

Body + 15-45mm = $1038 US

Body + 18-150mm = $1261 US

All three come with the free mount adapter and free 1TB CS100

If you can net $200 from selling the CS100 and adapter those are pretty hot deals.

this is what sold me. 930 for the body. already a 50 bucks savings. then i can sell the adapter (already have one) and connect station. great enough deal for me. though on backorder, which is fine. not in a hurry. i hope it ships within 1-2 weeks

edit: i called henrys and they said it should be shipping tuesday/wednesday.

so i called them up again for an update. apparently they dont have the canon adapter in stock and canon is on holiday this week so they dont know when they will get them. i asked if they could so split shipping and they said they can but i would have to pay shipping on the canon adapter. i obliged cuz i didnt want to wait any longer. lol

hopefully it will ship by tomorrow

edit: i just got an email saying they shipped it. thats some great customer service. ill get the tracking later today
