I recently acquired NX3000 out of curiousity and I am overall pleased with the camera.

I always keep shooting mode on all my cameras to RAW including on this one. On a recent trip I noticed that a few pics in series were shot in JPEG mode. That's quite surprising as I don't remember changing mode (in fact I never shoot JPEG).

More surprisingly, there are two series of pictures shot in JPEG mode. Pictures before and after those series are in raw files.

Any idea how this could have happened?

This can also happen if you use the NX 45mm 3D lens.  If you accidentally switch the 2D/3D switch which is easily done unfortunately the camera will stop shooting in RAW and shoot in JPG for 3D mode.  I have had to put some tape over the switch to stop it from happening.
