I recently acquired NX3000 out of curiousity and I am overall pleased with the camera.

I always keep shooting mode on all my cameras to RAW including on this one. On a recent trip I noticed that a few pics in series were shot in JPEG mode. That's quite surprising as I don't remember changing mode (in fact I never shoot JPEG).

More surprisingly, there are two series of pictures shot in JPEG mode. Pictures before and after those series are in raw files.

Any idea how this could have happened?

The priority mode dials support Raw( Aperiture, Shutter, etc) , If you switch the dial to automatic or scene selection, it won't be taken in raw but in jpeg. Not all of the dial modes support Raw. Or that is what I have come to learn when using my Nx500 recently.

oh, that's quite stupid of Samsung to associate shooting mode with storage mode. I am primarily a Sony shooter and previously Pentax but never came across such thing.

Let me try and see if that was the cause.
