I too got mine last night and agree with your assessment.  Feels good in the hand, and I don't have any creaky bits that I can find...on the camera...I've got plenty of them myself.

It doesn't doesn't do follow focus like my 7D MkII, but substantially better than my M3 did...well actually the M3 simply didn't.

All my EF lenses work great on it with the adapter, even a couple that barely worked at all on the M3...so...it's a keeper.  BTW, the EF 85mm f/1.8 feels like it was made for the M5.  I can see using the EF-M 22mm/EF 40mm f/2.8/EF 85mm f/1.8 as my "walk around" kit.

I really like the design and layout, it's smaller than I expected but even with my large hands, octave and a fourth span, it doesn't feel crowded.  I assign auto focus to the (*) button and it's location on the M5 is much more convenient for BBF than the M3.

No IQ tests yet but spent a few minutes this morning with the mini Aussies chasing a ball, and one another, and got some sharp images with the EF-M 55-200.  Again, not the percentage I'd expect from the 7D MkII but not bad either.

All and all seems a substantial step forward from the M3, which I really do like in spite of it's faults.
