Replacing T3i dc board - no power fix

My T3i (600D) suddenly refuse to turn on. I checked memory card switch, battery door switch, replaced battery, etc, nothing worked. Googling around, I noticed that some people reported there is a surface mounted fuse on the camera. I thought maybe the fuse is blown for some reason.

I followed the instruction here (https://www.ifixit.com/Device/Canon_EOS_Rebel_T3i) to open the camera. If you hold the camera in shooting position, the DC board is located on the front right side of the camera. This board's function is to supply DC power to various parts of the camera. There is a huge capacitor (the black cylinder thing) on the board, it is very easy to identify. Be very careful, the capacitor can hold >300V voltage and can kill you!

However, I couldn't locate any surface mounted fuse. Fortunately, I did notice that a 7.5 ohm resistor (the black square on the left, labelled 7R5) is very hot when the battery is inserted. Clearly, something is wrong with the board, maybe a voltage regulator is shorted or something. The solution is very simple: I ordered the a replacement board (the part ID is printed on the pcb board) from ebay and swapped it. The camera is now working!
