Re: Expanding X-Pro2 setup

Good advice indeed, in several areas.

I was considering the 60/f2.4 as a stopgap because it's cheap and highly respected. But I really want the 56/f1.2 if I would decide to go for a prime. Same about zooms: the 50-230 may be cheaper, but the 55-200 is the one I want. As far as money vs flexibility is concerned, I've more or less decided on the 55-200 now. I'm not a pro portrait photographer so I can't make a case for going for a couple of primes or the 50-140 anyway. And whereas adaptor rings would be fun, I know out of experience that they're not so practical.

On the wide side, I'm still in doubt. I would really want the 14 or even the 16. The 16 is faster and WR. It's also a great combo lens: it can be used for landscapes as well as group or social photography. I was considering the Samyang 12 for landscape and then adding the 18 for social photography, but that means more lens swapping and the combined price isn't that much cheaper anyway. The Samyang is way too wide for social photography and the 18 pancake isn't wide enough for landscapes, but the 16/1.4 can do both with some bonuses.

Thanks for all the advice!
